Who am I?
I am a nonconformist, conforming to nonconformity. I like to be different than everyone else in exactly the same way anyone else does. I am a walking contradiction – a hypocrite for the uninitiated. There are lots of “me”s.
But then isn’t that the case for just about everyone?
More specifically, I struggle with the riddle of existence day in and day out. I am here, I exist – so fucking what? I embrace the fact that I am a human being, not a human doing. I fall in love every day with everyone and everything around me. I like to be in awe of all that I am present to. I’m not religious, I’m spiritual. I like italics because I think it makes this neutral text represent just a little more of me than if I didn’t do it. I am a huge fan of existentialism and humanism. I’m majoring in psychology not because I want to make lots of money (what is that good for anyways?), but because, at its core, I feel like learning about psychology will help me learn about myself. It’s selfish, I know.
But aren’t we all?
I’m a wholist and I consider myself a combination of body, mind, and soul. I don’t take nearly as much care of the first and last as I do of the middle. I’m going to change that. I’m a pretty big fan of peace. I don’t really like war or violence or anything like that. “But that’s part of human nature”
Then change your nature
I love philosophy, psychology, and religion (spirituality) and continually finding they are all parts of each other. I plan on changing the world one day. Not sure how, but it’s on my list of things to do. I like to write. I don’t do enough of that either. I love to read as well. I like change. It’s the nature of the universe, so I might as well come to like it. I like to be good at stuff – whether it be work, school, or sports. I like silence too. Words are really just noise. I’m really interested to see what happens after I die.
I don’t know how to small talk. Chit-chatting is meaningless. I’d rather attempt to get to the core of one’s being by having some kind of meaningful conversation (even if it is just noise). I’d call myself interesting. I’m unique and you’ll never meet anyone like me.
Nor will I meet anyone quite like you.
